Angela Fenge of Zoe Mode and Dan Marchant of EM Media faced off against Nick Burton from Rare and Rusalka Clarke from Black Rock Studio - but once again, we forgot to keep track of the score and the audience probably won.

Topics discussed included marketing and public relations in the wake of recent scandals and controversy, studio branding, and tax breaks. However, the highlight of the evening was a spirited defense of casual games by Angela in response to the question "Are casual games a threat to traditional, hardcore videogames?"

Absolutely not, was the answer. Casual games are expanding the market, not stealing market share from other forms of videogame.

A full set of photos is on Flickr.

Once again, we were kindly sponsored by bluegfx and Autodesk.

Polygons will be settling back into Friar Gate Studios in Derby this September; if you haven't already, join the mailing list to receive news of the next event.

Brighton Polygons

The Next Never Mind The Polygons is going to be in Brighton on the last day of the Develop Conference, Thursday 26th of July, 18:00 - 20:00.
